Yeah, so after all I've said about "variety" for tomorrow night I'll probably use a Ferrari...for part of it. Probably go back and forth between the Ferrari and one of the Porsche's.

Who's going to make it tonight and what's everyone plan on running tonight if I might ask?

I'll probably bring the #44 FLMS Porsche GT3-RSR and the #62 Ferrari F430 GT, not sure which I'll use more.
 
I'm hoping to be there tonight.

I wanted to try the Vipers because I really did like the one I ran on R4 night awhile back. Although if I get off work earlier enough I'll probably just run the F430 as I ran a couple laps with it Sat evening to see how it compared to the 355 Challenge. I didn't get a chance to do any tuning on it, but it wasn't that bad a car.
 
You really don't need to tune the R cars. You "can" but 99% of the time it'll slow 'em down, they come very well set up. I think I have maybe three total R cars that are actually faster with a custom tune.

True, but I like to at least try the calc tune just to see if helps or not. Mainly I meant adjusting the downforce and the final drive.

I hear you. I've never been able to make them faster myself even with a calc tune. I did try putting the stock R3 F430 tune on an S998 F430...didn't work too well. 😛
 
I think the R3 Viper comes with a tiny bit of oversteer, either that or i am gunning the throttle too hard because the rear wheel is hotter than the front by a few degrees (single digit). I will soften the rear up a bit that nothing else needs to be done.
 
Good racing last night, I really enjoy using the "R" cars every once in a while! I think we got about 5-6 races in by 9:45 as well, we were going all rocket-like for a while.
 
we got to find someone's in the middle of the country to host these games... i couldn't join and had to settle with L4D for the rest of the night =(
 
I don't think it's a "coastal" thing, you connected to me just fine and I'm in the East. Blowfish is also in the East I believe and it was his connection you couldn't handle.

I think pretty much all of us except for QuikWgn are East-coasters and Quik (AFAIK) has never had connection problems with us.
 
hmm gonna have to check with earthlink or something, im east coast as well but I lately I am starting to have problem. like last time when hopeless was hosting I couldnt join.

I'm another exception as I'm in the middle.

I was thinking that after doing some changes / upgrades that everyone was able to connect when I hosted. I believe I hosted recently, including my pick, and don't remember anyone not being able to join. I don't have a problem with hosting if we want to try it next week to see if it works for everyone.
 
I have by far the fastest connection w/30+mb dn/5mb up so I would be more than happy to host, though a fast connection in the midwest somewhere would prob be best all around. Though a great deal of the XBL servers are right here since MS is in Seattle with me.
 
Just FYI - I'll try to have a car picked out tonight. I'm probably going to do a spec car but I want to pick out something fast and fun that we haven't done yet.

Still going to be baseball themed team race. AL vs NL. Everyone put up whether they are a fan of an NL team or an AL team and we'll try to balance it out. I know Waldo and I are NL fans.

Not much of choice there queasy. 😛

I don't have a favorite baseball team so you can just put me on whichever side you need someone.
