It sounds like only Waldo and I will be around, anyway? You want to swap witnessing duties right about 9, Waldo? I can observe other runs but I won't be available the whole time between 9 and 11. If anyone else wants to run tonight, I can probably observe, but make special arrangements (either here or via PM).
 
We'll see if I am on. If I can get Queasy to quali with me then that will give me a non-interrupted Braves game. 🙂

My wife hijacked my 360 to watch Shark Week via Netflix streaming. 🙂 I may not be on until later.
 
I'll be on at 9, hoping to qualify myself, so if anyone else is around at that time, I'll be bugging you to witness my time.
 
Thanks for taking up the slack for me fellas, much appreciated.

Essentially I spent almost all day Sat out in the sun with no sunblock (stupid me) and I am a fried lobster. It looks like I got too much sun and got a small case of sun poisoning (not my first time) and was laid up in bed from the time I got home Sat til this AM. I am still blood red but at least I don't feel like I am dying this AM (thank God).

Anyway I will be there on Tuesday. I'll start in the back with Blortov (assuming he makes it) since he and I did not qualify.

I will post qualifying times and positions shortly.

Ugh. I totally blew qualifying. I was getting 1:56s practicing with the tune I ran last night but kept screwing up and couldn't get better than 1:57.

Then, I go and witness Qwik's qualifying time and I'm just goofing off trailing behind him and I pull a 1:56. <facepalm>
 
I'm still only on a half tune. I have not done any telemetry corrections to suspension geometry to fine tune the tire temps. I ran a 1:55.7 in practice prior to qualifying so I may be able to get to a low 1:55 or high 1:54, but honestly I'm too inconsistent still to contend for the win. You may want to change my car data however to reflect that though I missed the Sebring race due to injury, I did declare my car switch to the Audi S4 V8.
 
This should be an awesome race. I won't be in 1st by the first corner. 🙂 Too bad we had some drop out.

Has anyone heard from hopeless lately? Is he officially done with the Endurance Races?
 
that brings something up which i am curious about. I think my car is by a good bit the quickest(I could be wrong) 0-100 in under 9.4. As we are doing the pre race shuffle lap I propose we do a full speed start, just so we can get an idea before we hit turn 1 for real.

Based on Qualifying times I agree.

I need to see if I can get ANY practice time in before 9pm tomorrow. I know I can run arn near every lap in the low 1:56s as that is what I was pulling during practice a week ago so that should put me within striking distance. If I can clean up a few spots I should be right near you guys qualifying times and then be able to make a race.

Consistency in this race will DEFINITELY be the key. I think there is really no true front runner for this week .. could change on Tues night though.

hopeless -- no idea. I sent him a build and tune for the S5 that should make him competitive so hopefully he can make it.

I will remind Blortov again today.

I planned on doing some testing Sunday for the endro and R3 night, but had company come in so that got blown out of the water. The way it's looking I won't be able to make it this round either.
 
Well, that race would have been a lot better had I not botched a corner and given up first to Waldo on lap 8. And then trying to catch him (and slowly reeling him in, I think), blew another corner to end any chance of a comeback. My car was pretty good overall, I thought, despite being a drastically different build than Waldo's. I benchmarked my car before the race and my 0-100 time was 8.8 seconds and I was able to get a good lead before the second turn because of it. Unfortunately, I couldn't hold it.
 
Yea, our setups were drastically different. I went pure handling and was catching you in the corners very slowly during the first 5 laps or so and I was easily beating you on corner exit because I was carrying so much more speed. Once we hit a straight you would walk away. I did not believe I had a winning car after the first 5 laps either, but then I started to reel you in. Once I got in your draft I was almost matching your speed and I knew I could out brake/out corner you. I was following you around for about 2 laps trying to figure out where I could make my move and even pulled alongside you on several corner exits only to be placed into 2nd place after a short straight. It was frustrating to see all my hard work goto pot in such a short time. After you pulled the evasive maneuver into the grass heading down the long straight I breathed a sigh of relief. I really had no idea how I was going to get around you.

Also, my benchmark 0-100 was like 10.3s. I had no engine upgrades.
 
sorry fellas, I'm going to have to bow out of the series. I have meetings that are supposed to last until 5:30, but always go over, then my commute home. It doesn't help to push the start time back as I have a class starting at 7:30 PST that I have to be at. I thought I was going to be able to squeeze forza in during that time, but it's just not working out the way I planned.
