Lately, and it seems more and more, I find that the Forums just seem REALLY slow. Sometimes I'll click on a thread an it might take 15 seconds for the thread to come up. Other times, it's reasonably fast... though never what I would call "blazing", at least not lately.

I've seen this from home and work, so it's not just network congestion on my end.

Anyone else? Any ideas?

Joe

The Internet was recently split into two Tiers thus "The Internets".

You must be on the slow cheap one.

It was pretty good last night at home, and though it's a bit better here at work, it's still slower than normal.

Wonder what's up?

You knew me before I was politicized?

LOL... hadn't thought of that. I guess they don't really care HOW the forums operate!

Yes I notice these slowdowns a lot. Usually only when clicking on threads, it will take about 10 seconds for them to open (if clicked multiple ones in tabs: they will all suddenly load at the same time after a long wait).

It is sporadic. Nulling out dynamic.anandtech.com in your HOSTS will help but not entirely alleviate it.

Well, that comment ended up meaning nothing, sorry. I will say I haven't noticed problems here until the false diagnosis I came up with and then just had to erase.

It has nothing to do with that, I blocked that a long, long time ago, way before people started doing it (it was easy to see in adblock that the dynamic server was their ad server), and that isn't the problem.
