I just discovered that anandtech is working. My bookmark just takes me to anandtech is doing maintanence. Weird.

Yeah, I thought AT was down for the last 24 hours cos my bookmark just gave me the "Oops" message. I read a thread on TFNN which said to clear cookies.

I had been trying to access AT from home and thought it was down for the whole weekend. Not sure why I didnt think to clear my cookies, just kept getting an error message.
 
Change the title of this thread to reflect the fact that we are using beta forum software. There's nothing "complete" about the fact that I can no longer view long threads because they get cut off half way down, or that many people are experiencing crashes with Firefox, or that the quote system is completely screwed. This is ridiculous.
 
i came to the forums after almost a year...and i thought the site had changed or something...

being away for a while makes it easier to come back to something different though, i'm liking it so far.
 
Still can't get directly to forums (have to go through Anandtech main site) even though I've cleared by cookies. But instead of "Ooops" it's just a 404 error.
 
Private Messaging window sucks. The window stays as a small box and you can't maximize it, and text goes off the screen where you can't see it. Also, you cannon preview a PM before sending it.
 
Making the "Next Page >" visible at the bottom of each page is a big plus. Now just get rid of the light blue color - make it dark blue.

Arrgh this website used to be Great.

Now I am frustrated more with this site than my tired old computer.

I tired using Advanced Search, and the Exact words I searched,
in Title Only were not in any of the items found. WTF> 🙁 Very sad.

this should now be fixed as of 7/19 ... let me know if you still have problems in the forum issues thread.
 
There's a problem when I tried to upgrade my profile. After I filled out all the infos and when i click on upgrade my profile an message box came up saying I don't have permisson to view this forum. Did I do something wrong please help.
 
good job on the site guys (sorry i'm late on this). I have 2 complaints though.

First...the site layout is too different, takes me sometime to find things now. ^_^

2nd....i seem to be having some issues with the PM system, didn't notice it before so it something may have just happened today, but whenever i click on the name in pm's or the message history during a pm...it used to bring up ALL the previous conversations with that user. Now, it just gives me some and just kinda, cuts out. I go back to the pm list, and the old pm is in there, i just have to click on it and bring it up. Fix? Appreciate it guys, and

keep up the good work. Improvements are always nice as long as they're not a bad change. ^_^

PM system definitely not working right. I am having same issues as others noted - incomplete history, partial threads with other members, etc. A fix in the works maybe???
 
Why does the page go halfway down the screen, and I have to scroll to find it?
