I'm just curious if this is FuseTalk beta software (alpha??) or a full release version. If this is a release version, I can't believe people would pay money for this version. There are so many obvious issues with this software that weren't even present in the previous versions. How does that happen? Talk about taking two steps back.
full version -- FT 3.0 for cold fusion ... and we aren't talking basic ... this is enterprise baby!

Ouch.

No kidding, the fact that they charge $4500 USD for this is laughable, I'd be so embarrassed if I worked for FuseTalk and had to put my name on this thing.

Fusetalk was revolutionary when it first came out and I personally loved it. Now you can find free forum software with more features and customizability, and less bugs. They have lost sight of the original idea behind their software: fast, sleek, professional looking forums with no nonsense.

I could not agree any more. I used to love FT. I would love to see all the bugs ironed out before creating more and more and more forums. But that is life.

I am sure that the administrators had to do a lot of work on the transition, and as a daily reader appreciate that.

I like it, but where is the "last" button when viewing huge 200+ page threads? I have to go through 7 pages each time.

Yeah, didn't we used to have an arrow button or something at the top and bottom of a thread that took you to the last page?

Regarding steps forward and backward, Mao's "Great leap forward" didn't work out too well at first, either. At least AT's "leap" hasn't killed millions, just just confused thousands a bit and slowed down the site significantly.

But, I know that like Mao, this was not your intention. Maybe a little more "fine tuning" will win the day.

I swear that bar in between posts gets bigger with every new version 😕

Good point, a single pixel line is plenty of space. It's like 10 on my screen.

i'm not liking the thread rating thing. it just clutters up the view, leaving less room for thread titles, and the ratings that threads get have zero connection to whether or not the thread is any good. i'll have to see if there is a way i can turn it off in the options.

Use Adblock in FF or Content Blocker in Opera to get rid of them.

My gripes:

1. As mentioned, there is a ton of dead space on each page. Icons are too large, names are too large, avatars are too large, bars between posts are too large.
2. I hate the categorization. Perhaps that's a learning thing - but I absolutely hate it.
3. Why does nearly every forum name on the left bar end with "..." when there is over an inch of free space in that frame?
4. Why do I have to click right or left arrow to page through the forum pages? Do you know how annoying it is to get to page 10 on a lower bandwidth connection? Bad. Bad. Bad. Either let me type the page and press enter, or a drop down box, or something. But having the click one at a time? Same goes with posts. Where's my "last" button?

We're using the as of yet unreleased FuseTalk 3.0 for .NET ...

Well that explains a lot. I hope you guys are getting compensated for once again letting them use your site as a guinea pig.

Ahhhh, where's the ">>" button? I must continue my whining. It's really annoying not being able to go directly to the last page of the thread.

Now THAT explains a lot. I was trying to figure out how anyone would actually pay for this bug factory.

We are their beta testers 😀

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but the search is working now. How about we get rid of that sticky about it?

I can't browse past the first page in threads or go past first page of the list of threads in the sub-forums on my WM5 PPC using Pocket IE, probably a scripting thing...but it sucks only being able to read the first page of threads when I'm bored at work...

Search acts weird. I searched for "free commander" with "Exactly these words" setting, and it showed me a bunch of threads that do not contain this phrase. Heck some of them don't even contain either "free" or "commander"

😕

The issue where the screen is cut off at the very far right is still here. If you have say a 2405 Dell LCD and you have two IE windows right next to each other, the screen on the far right is cut off by I'd say 50 or so pixels. AHHHHHHHH.

Agreed. Bring back the >>>> (last page) buttons.

So far, the new look, looks nice .. I will need to dig into it a bit and see how customizable it is compared to the old one.
And maybe, email notifications will work ok now

The email notifications have been working. I am glad to see that I now no longer miss out on some threads due to the lack of notification. It's very refreshing back the to the way it used to be two and a half years ago.
