We've completed the upgrade of the forum software, please post any issues here and we'll get to them as soon as we can.

Thanks

So far, the new look, looks nice .. I will need to dig into it a bit and see how customizable it is compared to the old one.
And maybe, email notifications will work ok now

Oh noez! Too much is changing!

I like the 'Currently Logged In Users' footer - stalking made easier. 🙂
And Bryophyte's job seems much easier now. 😉

I like it, but where is the "last" button when viewing huge 200+ page threads? I have to go through 7 pages each time.

The only way I've found to make this easier is to go back to the thread listing... there is a "last" button there. It would definitely be nice to have one in the thread itself, however.

Well system rigs are still broken.

Not sure if the subscriptions are working properly again or not, but I'll post back once I have figured that out.

It will take a little while for my eyes to get used to the new setup, but overall it looks good.

Cheers,
KT

Highlighted text seems to be white here, making it practically invisible, at least on the Steel Red theme. Can you see this after the colon (just select it with your cursor caret if not): can you see this?

It appears the H tag still exists as it is still listed in the symbols help box.

OK, Not sure why I was posting as someone named Ziptar but that was really me. How'd that happen? That could be bad... Logged off and back on and it's OK now.

Dare I say - I can't make advanced search work any better than before. 🙁
Searched for
All of these words: MicroCenter
Forum Categories: Hot Deals
Search what: tried all three
Display results: tried both
Search for messages posted in the last: 10 days
Get nothing despite the fact that there are 2 threads on the first page for me with MicroCenter in the title.
Same no results with "2GB" as the search words and there are 2 threads with that in the title as well.

edit: Well, that's one way to fix things, I suppose. Get rid of all the options that don't work and. sooner or later, what's left will work. Hopefully still in a state of flux?
eliminated all search options for words
eliminated all search options for title or body
eliminated current vs archived choices

at least what's left worked for me now.

edit: darn, I'm logged in as the same old me.

IIRC, the same thing happened last upgrade.

In IE there is a space between the left column (with 'Private Messages' etc) and the main column. In Firefox there is none.

One thing I am not liking is having to scroll down to change forums. I like the navigation at the top better.

The side menu bar causes the "Search Topic" and "Topic Tools" buttons to be pushed over to the side too far, plus for shorter posts, it causes the Quick Reply box to be pushed to the side.

Hiding the side menu bar causes everything to show up as it should. For longer posts, the Quick Reply box goes across the entire width of the window, but the "Search Topic" and "Topic Tools" buttons are still too far over, causing horizontal scrolling.

This is with the "Steel Red" theme on Firefox 2.0.0.4. Looks like the other themes aside from the "Default" theme also suffer from these results. It looks as expected with the "Default" theme selected.

Layout is broken in Firefox for me, no doubt due to high resolution and large font sizes. Text in the avatar section sticks out into the post section, several bars of text aren't readable because they are too small for the text in them, etc.. Not surprising considering the CSS is full of pixel measurements instead of something sane like em.
