Forum software messing up the % (percent) symbol

It's a Greasemonkey user script; create a new script and copy/paste it in. Or copy/paste it to a new file with the extension ".user.js", and drag it into your browser. (Works on Chrome, too.)

It changes what you see, but not what other see.

So I noticed if I say one number, its messed up, for example: 20 percent(just imagine this with that messed up symbol).

If I say two numbers, 20 percent and 35 percent, the first one is messed up and second one isn't.

So I went and edited the first one to spell it out. Then the second one screws up.

Mine works fine still :hmm:

Web browser glitch with the site, maybe? Weird. If it is IE, then the users of IE should be smacked over the head with a % and told to use Firefox 😛

You'd rather have time warps than the % not working for some people? :|

I use FF and &#37 happens occasionally.

I am pretty sure the guys that are 100% consistant in not having the issue are simply always using advanced edit. I use Quick Reply mostly and it happens almost every time.

Oddly I am willing to bet some of these people that never have the issue were also common time warpers.

I had mentioned moving from FuseTalk to just avoid time warps and some of the other user exploits was silly. All forum software is more or less 'hackable'...it's up to the staff to shut down those that abuse the holes.

Quick reply %

Hmm. I think you're onto something. Posting a quick reply caused it for me. If I put in a quick reply, but then go to advanced, it's OK. If I start out in advanced, it's OK.

we have been over that...advanced edit is not what most are using save maybe the grammar nazi's or those in FS/T.

yeah, quick reply is one of the best things about the "new" forums imho.

edit: shit, still there! We will continue to riot in the streets until our demands are met! or at least until we get a couple of twinkies and a diet coke.

I have memorized &#37 and type it out as &#37. Probably will continue to long after the &#37 is fixed.
