forum pages not loading

everytime i click on a topic or try to change forums i get an error that the page can not be found. i have to try 5-6 times to get it to work right.
is this a problem on my end that i need to look into, or is the site just getting hit hard today.

try clearing your internet Cache and tell us if you still get the error. it could be your end, I haven't seen it happen personally. if the clearing of the cache does not work, post a traceroute from you computer to the fourms, there could be a problem there.

i cleared the cache but i'm still having some problems.
if i knew how to do a traceroute i would. could someone please explain it to me?

Well, one reason could just be that the forums are screwed since the "upgrade" and they are slow for everyone!!:|

If you want to do a traceroute go into DOS or command prompt

do this by typing "command" in the RUN box

in the command prompt type "tracert forums.anandtech.com"

this will give you the hops and ping times and let you knowif you are timing out somewhere

awsheat beat me. 🙂 The forums are so slow it took about 5 mins to load the reply😕.

happens to me too, it's not a problem on your end.


The forums are also crawling to a painful level... 🙁 Let's hope they can fix it...
