Forum Outage

The DB box had a small issue this morning causing it to not accept connections, this is the reason for the small outage. Back in action now. *Phew* 🙂 Not a FuseTalk issue is all that matters 😉.

The Forum db box had not been rebooted in over 2 months so I guess that was NT4's way of saying hey it's time 🙂. At some point we will move the db boxes to 2K like everything else on the AT network and upgrade to SQL 2000. But that means another trip to pittsburg for me 🙂. 2K with sp1 is so much more stable than nt4.

<< 2 months with that much usage w/out being restarted? >>

Thats why 2K rules! I'm running Advanced Server, my longest uptime was like 3weeks....but then I has to install a new fan 🙁 🙂

<< That much work on a comp is just mind boggling! >>

I have had my Linux box up since jan. may W2K was loaded in june, its very nice to hear that SP1 helped, I have SP1 on my server and I didnt see much difference, then again I don't have 33,000+ users. 🙂
