While I like the separate forum for "Love/Relationships" I really think the the Social forums should be limited to that, PN and Off Topic. If we continue to add subforums (like The Garage), what's the point of even having an Off Topic forum? May as well have a subforum for gym/fitness, food/nutrition, jokes, weird newstories, sports, television/movies, etc. Aside from PN and the relationship forum, I think everything else should just fall under OT. Otherwise, it makes it really hard to keep up with threads or receive answers/feedback if you create a thread. I don't really remember anyone complaining about YACT's popping up in OT. Not to the point of deserving its own forum anyway. Just my $.02.

I don't like the "new topic" button being up where the profile, help, faq, etc links are. From a design-nerd point of view, those seem site-wide, administration controls, whereas submitting a new post should have a button closer to the forum you're posting in.

It's not a biggie in most areas of the forum but places like FS/FT where threads get bumped and new ones get posted frequently it makes it kinda hard to figure out which thread you've read and which you haven't.

cheers

Agreed.

By the way, thanks for adding the last page link.

One last thing. I still would like to have my PMs come up in a separate window or at least as a link that can be opened in a new tab.

Thanks.

Oh and...

About adding a single automotive forum. I don't think it's a good idea "because" the automotive spectrum is much too wide. Far wider than the PC industry. You won't get away with just a single forum for automotive. After its creation, users will hound you to break the forum down into at least a dozen subforums.

Engines
Transmissions
Rearend/Transaxles
Electrical
Cooling/heating
Suspension
Air conditioning
Brakes/wheels/tires
Car Audio
Maintenance

etc. etc. And this could all be for just one manufacturer, one make, and one model, like a chevy corvette for example.

Toooooo Vast an industry.

Take a look at LS1.com. Dedicated to a range of F-type body style cars ranging from just 1994 to 2002. Just take a look at how many forums needed to accomodate it.

My 2 cents.

also, add ethnic user subgroups to each topic so people have the choice of not mixing or choosing which people they want to associate with.

lmao.

Currently when you click on the link in the subscription update e-mail the system displays the first message in the thread.
Any chance of this being implemented?

Weeeeeelllll, not so sweet. Last Unread isn't working right. When I visit a thread as a result of receiving a subscription update e-mail and press the Last Unread button the system takes me to a starting point - call it message X. Now I read the rest of the thread - call the current end of the thread message Y.

Later when receive a subscription update and visit the thread, pressing the Last Unread button takes me to message X again - not message Y.
