Fortron Blue Storm 500watt UV reactive??

Before I order is the Fortron Blue Storm 500watt UV reactive? If not then I am gonna order the Antec Neopower and sleeve it.

It looks like a good one:

Here is a pretty detailed review:

http://www.silentpcreview.com/article212-page1.html

"POWER OUTPUT: The Blue Storm had no trouble meeting its specified maximum of 460W. It even ran for about 20 minutes at almost double its 160W maximum rating for the +3.3V/+5V combination before we realized that we had overloaded it. The wattage ratings of this power supply may be more conservative than most, and this is a good thing."

Though you could get a stouter Fortron PSU for about the same money if you dont mind having a plain looking unit.

Hey, I have the 500W Blue Storm and unfortunately the molex connectors are NOT UV reactive. However, two power cords have UV reactive sleeving. Yes, just two, and one of them is the 4-pin square that you plug into the mobo. *shrugs*

Currently running at +11.90 on 12V rail with all the things you see in my sig. There is NO -5V rail unfortunately. Meh, I'm happy.

I have a Blue Storm psu. No mention in the user manual of UV reactive. I would expect they would advertise it if it did, since its relatively new. Not a definitive answer, I know, but I don't have a windowed case (so no need for me). It does have a cool blue-lit power switch though🙂

odd why just 2? By looking at pics I figured the molex connectors wasnt as they look like a solid dark color. I may just spend the extra $30-$40 and get the Antec Neopower. Not sure if its worth it or not though.

It is uv reactive on 2 sleeves as mentionned above. I only use those 2 and 1 other so not a biggie for me.
My window is facing a wall anyways and my uv light is seldom turned on except to show someone my innards without taking the pc apart.

The molex swap kits at xoxide or other places would be an easy change.
Mainly it works great and looks good in the light or dark.
The Antec is also a very nice psu though.
