I would jump on this if it were from a more reputable company. I'm not sure how much I trust this place, the checkout doesn't appear secure according to Firefox.

I bought one used for $70 shipped on HardOCP a few days ago. It's a pretty sweet PSU at this price. I have not been able to stress test it yet as my AMD64 Venice CPU is still in the mail to me so I'm using it on my old P4 3.2HT box. The Blue Storm is quite a bit heavier than my old Antec TruePower 430 (which I noticed you own as well czech09). This PSU is a lot quieter at load compared to my TP430, I haven't noticed the 120mm fan getting louder as it goes to full load like the Antec did a bit. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference at idle. The quick release molex connectors and the fact that every single cable is sleeved in blue is high class stuff, the cable length is also more generous compared to the TruePower and has a few more connections. Some of the reviews mention that this PSU comes with a 24 to 20 pin adapter cable but that is not the case, at least in the versions shipping now, these don't come with an adapter at all even though it says it does right on my box. The ATX2 mainboard connector uses a 24-pin connector but it's designed in two seperate pieces that are next to each other. There's a 4-pin piece which just slides onto and attaches to the main 20-pin piece to make for the full 24-pin connector.

Just an fyi, I just placed an order thru actbuy on an Intel Dualcore mobo that just came out. They called to verify my work(shipping) address and I just got the trackingn number and should get it on friday.

In regards to how it compares to the OCZ Modstream, the Fortron Blue Storm is on par with the OCZ Powerstreams which are a notch above the Modstreams in regards to stable and reliable rails. My two cents.

They used to be known as myPCgoodies. I prefer to release my credit card to a site with a secure server. Their former company had good reviews at RR and they used to have a sponsored link off Amazon's page. I just shy away from deals like this. May be the best thing since sliced bread.

whatever you do avoid this store at all costs, i just tried to order with paypal the payment went through then it charged back, called my credit card company and no charges on the card were made yet, so i called the store to see whats going on an asian lady hardly speaking english.. she said the payment went through but i checked on my credit card that there was no payment making threw, something smells fishy here... ok now i called to cancel my order, she is asking me to write a written response by mail to cancel my order, which is ridicilous but on the site it says

"Order Cancellation
You may request to have your order cancelled, provided your order has not already been processed and shipped. Please call us at 1-866-846-8857 during our business hours to cancel your order. If your account has already been charged, you will receive a credit back to your account within approximately 1-2 business days. Please never request to have your order cancelled via Email as we may not receive it in time."

my recommandation is AVOID this store At All Costs, im even thinking about calling my credit card company and telling them that i lost my card, so ill get a new one with a new number

repost, its been that price forever on actbuy..not sale price. plus ocz has moddable wires and most a64 systems can even run on good 350 watt psus. So ocz 420 watt is still good.

If you paid via paypal, the company doesn't have your credit card number. If you're worried, then it sounds like you need to cancel your paypal account and set-up a new one.

When actbuy called me to verify my shipping address, the message that was left sounded like an indian woman to me. When I called, a guy answered who spoke perfect english and he transfered me to the woman who left the message.

Attractive deal!!!

BUT

fishy reseller rating + No warranty info posted + No item condition info posted (am I buying a USED or REFURBISHED one?) = 1 possible 15% restocking fee scam.
