Well technically there are ways to get around it but you would have to go looking for them, and they are pretty involved. I have seen a couple articles on it. Different versions of Fortres have different weaknesses. It depends mostly on how locked down it is. If it is combined with another program, like Ikiosk, which allows individual menus within programs to be restricted, then it is a lot harder to do anything. We use it on a few computers where I work. To my knowledge nobody has cracked the security where I work and we do have a few people that are relentless on some of the machines.
I see that you can't use the internet, but just remember that if you are in a pinch you can usually type "telnet:" in the IE address bar to get a telnet session going. Thankfully my school hasn't caught on to that yet. It saved my but a couple times when I forgot a file for a class at home.
It isn't any of my business why you want this information or what you will do with it, but some people go haywire when they see someone else messing with stuff on their computers. And by haywire I mean crazy. It doesn't matter to them what your motives are, they just want to see you in pain after that. I advise against doing anything stupid unless absolutely necessary.
