According to several posts on Anandtech, as well as a review at silentpcreview, the lower rated S12's are misssing a 6-pin PCI-e connector--can anyone who owns an S12 confirm this?

The pictures at Newegg show that the 500w S12 is the lowest rated Seasonic that has the PCI-E connectors.

Wow!, news to me. Just read the reviews & no mention of PCIe 6-pin connector(s). Seems like a odd thing for Seasonic to not include with the lower rated S12s. I suppose you could use a molex to PCIe power adapter. However, it's not the tidiest solution. :(

Also to answer your question in your other thread, PCIe connectors aren't listed in the specifications, therefore not required for a PSU to be ATX12V 2.xx compliant.

Again, Fortron and Enermax will always give you more bangs for your $. Don't buy into the Seasonic hypes.

both are dead quiet, seasonic is quieter. Both are very stable, seasonic is a little more efficiant. Forton is cheaper, and although its called 500W its really 460W. that said id get and have gotten the forton its a much better buy. if you need to extra power you'd be smart to pick up a Powerstream 520 (not 600W those arent as good) an enemerx noise taker or a PCP&C (although those are loud)
