Thanks for taking the time to create an account and dropping a note, Andy! It's going to be a photo finish for the top three/four, a real nail-biter! 🙂

Well it's looking like a 4th place for us in this sprint. It took long enough, but we seem to have awoken some sleeping giants.😱
I'll get the final stats up in the morning. Maybe a pleasent surprise will be there then. 🙂

Instead of 3 day sprints with 1 day announcement, how about we had 1 day sprints with 3 days announcement? :innocent:

An exciting race!!!!!
Congrats to all. Well done TeAm. 😀 Fourth place in our league, but clearly a lot of effort on this one by the top three.
Congrats to EVGA, OC.Net and OcUK to a well run sprint. A bit of a rest and only two more left for the year, here that is.🙂

@Orange Kid, thanks for tracking the stats.

It's the first time that we missed the podium... and I had to click back through the former sprint results to be sure of that. 😕 Not something to get used to. Oh wait, next year we are supposed to play in league 1...

It would have been a much closer thing to rank 3 if xii5ku had brought his CPUs into this sprint, instead of GPUs only. But I hear he has no regrets, because GPUs and CPUs combined would have meant at least 2.5 times the power draw for perhaps 1.1...1.2 times his credits.

True. So true.

Ha ha! Yeah, right. Let's agree that we two disagree over what the word "ready" means.

I can only dedicate my old laptop for this sprint. The Athlon already has its hands full for other things. I will be gutted if we lost due to 4 cores short of computing power.

Wow, we're taking a beating. I expected to finish 3rd, but EVGA is strong with the force (2nd place!), putting us in a distant 4th place, until we see what xii5ku has to unleash towards the end. 🙂

Yikes. When I saw the Universe project was AMD friendly, I joked to myself that I should load up BOINC on my server rig with its good ol' HD6870. Maybe I seriously should!

Their GPU application is still in beta status. But more importantly, they have not been issuing any GPU tasks at all for quite some time now. There are none available at the moment (server_status) and certainly won't be anytime soon.

Even though EVGA is usually more into Nvidia-friendly project, this one is an exception. Their first-hour performance is better than usual. I think more of their members do bunkering than they used to.
