I remember reading some threads about Gerald Ford passing away a while back here, what was that all about?

In short, there was a skit on SNL where "Tom Brokaw" was pre-taping various stories for how Gerald Ford could have died, so that he could be on vacation in Barbados over the Winter in case Ford actually did die. This included things such as being shot & dying at the senseless age of 83, being eaten by wolves, and being killed while Brokaw came out of the closet on the same day. It's a hilarious skit, and Mill reposts "Gerald Ford dead today at the senseless age of XX" threads periodically.
 
He went on more spontaneous Presidential trips than any other sitting President.
