People don't buy sports franchises to make fast money. They buy them because they want it and they can afford it.

wow.. talk abut overpaying!

Apple could have bought the Clippers instead of Beats, and still have $1B left over. :eek:
and It would have been a better deal too

that seems like an overpay given how much other teams have gone for recently but if you look at what he paid and what hes selling for, probably not. also look at how much a team like that makes every year, lets say it makes two hundred million and theyre getting all sorts of deals with the city, it looks like a pretty safe investment

It's seems like way way to much for a sports team, particularly a basketball team. This deal especially since it doesn't include any real estate. The Dodgers sold for around the same amount but it included a ton of valuable real estate. I could see it more on a football team with the amount of money they are getting in TV deals and being the most popular sport. But that cash for a BB team with no real estate but the practice facility seems like way to much.
