Here is her video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48QxwrZp4ZE

Here is a picture she took of a triple amputee being beaten, tazed, and pepper sprayed without provocation. She tried to get them to stop but they blew her off.

She says this is rampant in every Prison in the US and Jails. She is doing what she can to bring it to the public light. She has a petition here: Petition to force all officers and jailers to where body cameras 24/7 and have an independent party keep all video footage

Here is her AMA on Reddit if you want to read it.

Several jail cops have responded to her AMA. Seems some are confirming what she says. She said a few of her co workers backed her up in court. However others have threatened her life.

Threatening a whistle blower. They themselves should face those threats.

Time cannot come soon enough when an indisputable record is maintained and justice brought to predators.

Stories like that make me loose faith in humanity. Sadists are everywhere but they should never find themselves in a position of authority. Why are other people condoning such behavior? It's really sickening. Disgusting cowards, it's very easy to beat someone who can't defend oneself.

The triple amputee? Here is what she said about the guy when he came into the jail:

"He had one of his arms and part of a foot, if my memory serves me correct.
He'd kind of push himself around and beg on the street corners. He had no family, I looked for him and his family for 3 years. He actually came into the jail on a stretcher, that's on the Moral Courage project video. You can see one of the stills with him on the stretcher."

I know in Texas prisons, any interaction with inmates is video taped. They literally have people with cameras (guards, mind you) going around with during all interaction to ensure there is no abuse. I'm sure stuff happens, but it has to be far less likely with people always being on camera. Although, I fear with our moronic youth, who love to video themselves committing crimes, getting to the age of actually getting employment, having cameras might not deter them.

I worked at a private prison for over a year when I was younger. We had cameras pretty much everywhere and I was the cameraman for the SORT team responses to hostile inmates. We taped everything to protect ourselves, as well as the inmates.

And I imagine that really cut down on the abuse. I had a friend who worked as a prison guard and each week someone was assigned camera duty, and they hated it. You had to lug around the camera everywhere.

Incorporating that into every prison would drastically cut down on the abuse, although, I'm sure it will still happen. If virtually every interaction between inmates and guards is documented by video, weeding out the bad apples shouldn't be hard.

The prisons in America are barbaric hellholes. We do not try to reform, instead, we only try to punish, and that punishment helps to train harder and more barbaric prisoners.
