3-1-2007 Former Canadian Defense Minister says world should be using technology obtained from crashed UFO's to stem Global Warming

A former Canadian defense minister is demanding governments worldwide disclose and use secret alien technologies obtained in alleged UFO crashes to stem climate change, a local paper said Wednesday.

He shocked Canadians in September 2005 by announcing he once saw a UFO.

I would like to see what (alien) technology there might be that could eliminate the burning of fossil fuels within a generation ... that could be a way to save our planet," Paul Hellyer, 83, told the Ottawa Citizen.

Alien spacecrafts would have traveled vast distances to reach Earth, and so must be equipped with advanced propulsion systems or used exceptional fuels, he told the newspaper.

I suppose there's a chance that governments actually know something, but given their track record, I suspect that if they did indeed know something, we would have found out by now. The government is simply nowhere near as good at keeping secrets as the conspiracy theorists give them credit for. ;)

I certainly wouldn't expect that clouds or other UFO-like objects could solve our energy problems. :p

On the other hand, Assim, it seems like fission power stations might do just fine. :)

We all know that UFO engines are powered by Infinite Improbability Drive. The power source is a cup of hot tea.

Well, proviafan and deerslayer, speaking as one who worked in the top secret / sci intel world for 13 years, I can only say you underestimate secret keeping in the government....

Depending on what you mean by "the government": the politicians in it or the professionals doing the real work?

The former are ... lets say ... less than discrete - the latter quite often very professional.

Yes they will probably have to be used in the near term ,but we still have to deal with some radioactive waste of course.

I doubt any UFOs exist, never saw any TV show or anything convincing. That said, if it did exist, and government had it, they would prob use a advanced technology to kill people faster with in in wars.

The massive sighting over New Zealand some years ago was an eye opener ,multiple eye witness accounts from people & crew on an airliner being 'tailed', by shall we say 'lights' ,radar contacts from nearby air towers & by jet fightes scrambled to escort the air liner ,also some ground based witnesses. The 'lights' cleared off when the jets got close but they latter briefly came back.Pitty we don't hear much about that one.
Not saying they were alien crewed craft but they definetly weren't weather ballons etc! :p

Hey Dave ,got a link on that story?

Remember that most TV shows feature reenactments based on witness descriptions and testimonies.

The discussion is not whether UFOs exist, there are many flying objects that are unidentified, after all. Its about whether that remaining 1% of UFOs are extraterrestrial space craft.

I spent some time in the "mi" community -- While there I saw some stupid stuff. Now... if I could only remember what it was... I would tell some of those secrets. My friend told me that they wiped my brain during the de-briefing.

I could get my friend to back up my story ... if I could only remember his name. -- I am absolutely certain that I had a friend once.
