There is something seriouslyh wrong with an operating system that needs to be reinstalled every 6 months to work properly.

Either that or ATers are idiots who can't maintain a windows box properly.

Notfred, some people are neat freaks... I don't like formatting because I like my OS just the way I have it... unless something goes terribly wrong with the OS or my hard drive crashes, I don't mess with it... I just keep things nice and tidy.

Well if you haven't formatted for 3 years then it's justified...

He's full of crap. His "rig specs" in his sig say he's running XP. Which hasn't been out for 3 years.

If you weren't jacking off to penguins all day you'd know that windows falls apart over time. Win98 used to be a whore about it and a noticeable speed loss could be noticed merely a few months into it especially if you were heavy into installing/uninstalling stuff. Win2k is much better but I recently formatted mine after 18 months on the same install and it is cleaner and faster now.

I think you jsut agreed with me. you said "windows falls apart over time". I said "There is something seriously wrong with an operating system that needs to be reinstalled every 6 months".

Where's the contradiction?

and about this:
wtf am i full of crap about?
You said you haven't formatted in three years. Somehow you must have managed to install WinXP on your A7V333-R in 2000 then, before either of them were released.

holy fvcking christ. did it ever occur to you, god of knowledge, that some individuals have multiple workstations. did you also realize that formatting because of system instability and formatting for a system upgrade are two different things?? bottom line, i've had enough of your garbage. thank you and have a nice day.

could we get back on topic please guys?!

How the hell do you know he's reinstalling every 6 months? Just because you see threads about people asking this here? You realize there are over 100,000 members here, right? You're a dumbass.

you may want to consider ghosting an image of your HD after you install the OS and maybe a few essential drivers and apps. i just did this and hopefully it'll save me some trouble if i need to reinstall in the future.
