formatting old boot drive

i moved from IDE to SATA a few months ago and was able to easily copy my old boot drive to my new one using Seagate's utility.

I didn't want to format the old one right away in case I had any problems.

well, now i want to format it. the problem is when I attach that one to the mobo, it's the one selected to boot from.

I can't change that to SATA in the bios - only to CD or floppy.

any ideas on how to format it?

thanks,
robert.

Hi
If you have your windows cd boot to it if your mobo supports that. or create a system disk and boot to the floppy. Then format.
hope this helps.
