Hey, my dads friend wants me to format his buisness system, im new to chargin people, the comp is like a 500 mhz celeron how much should i charge him to do a format and reload?
 
Local computer shop's in my area charges like $20-25 per hour. If you want them to reload a system for you. Since this is your dad's friend I would think maybe $10 bucks a hour would be fair. Anything more then that your dad could get mad because you are charging him too much. 😀 Besides depending on how much software you need to install and ect. you would still make good enough money. To go and buy your self something
 
You should charge him only if you can guarantee that what you do will work 100%. Some people install an OS, and then something breaks, and they don't even acknowledge it's a driver they forgot to install or something like that.

I would charge a flat fee, $40 or so, but I'm a professional 🙂🙂
Don't forget, you're only doing 30 mins or so worth of work - the PC and Windows installer are doing everything else. Do it for $30 or so, but make sure to install all the drivers, etc.
