I have installed a WD 80 gig hard drive in a new pc. I have windows Xp installed on 10 gig partition, and have 5 gig fat 32 partition for the ghost image. the rest is for storage, approx. 60 gig. Now when i go to format this partition in XP it runs and gets to 100% then fails to finish and i get this "Format did not complete successfully" i have tryed to do a quick format and i have even partitiond this drive in half to see if i could get half of it to format. Both pars. fail. any Ideas. PLZ

Redeyee. is this the first time the drive has been formattted? If you haven't previously formatted the partition w/ which your having problems, I don't think you can do a Quick Format. I ran into this yesterday, trying to do a Quick Format on a new drive, to which I wanted to Ghost my current drive. It appeared that a QF did the job, but I couldn't get Ghost to work properly. Once I did a full format on the drive (and partitions) all went well.
