Formating a Dell Question

I am going to be formating a computer that is a dell and need to know how I should wipe out all signs of dell. I heard that a regular format won't do it.

If a regular format won't do it what is the correct type of format for the job and if you know the correct command line please let me know.

format /u (unconditional)
before that use fdisk /mbr to creare new boot record.

I thought it was a hidden Run-DMC partitions

Run-DMC as in Run Device Manager's Car
