foriegn disk?

hey guys i had 3 hd's hooked up to my pc.. and i reinstalled xp and now 2 of them dont show up and in disk management they say they are foriegn and if i make them basic hd's i will lose all my data.. wtf? why did this happen
 
omg i just read somewhere its because i was using corp edition xp and now im using home edition.. is that true?
 
Bah i solved my own problem lol... sry guys


If you right click on the foreign disk and the "Import Foreign Disk" is not present, this can happen because the dynamic disk was from a Windows XP Pro machine and the new machine has Windows XP Home installed. Windows XP Home cannot read dynamic disks as they do not have a normal partition table.
