Forgetful BIOS

I have completed my first build. It seemed like everything was ok. Then when I tried to set my BIOS, and tried to run the system, instead of booting from my hard drive as I had set it to do, it would ask to boot from floppies.
Then I tried hitting F!! on the run-up routine, and selected to boot from the HD, it booted from the hard disk, and everything was fine. However, when I turned the computer off, it would again try to boot from the floppy??
Can really use some help. Is the Bios memory not remembering???

Also make sure the jumpers are in the proper positions, it may have came shipper with the jumper in the clear cmos position.
