<< I pretty much build my systems with Mid-cases and 300w-400w PSU's, but is it really advisable to run a P4 from a 180w PSU? >>

I want to know this too, because I might build a P4 1.6a around this case.
FYI I built an XP1700 around a 200watt Micro ATX case with GF3 / sound / network card. Works great! The micro atx motherboards use much less power than their regular atx counterparts. Often they can get away with smaller power supplies.

This case is awesome. Mine has a powerman powersupply. I put a cel 1.1 in it with a mx400. I have not had any issues. Space is tight inside. That is to be expected. The one Thing I don't like is the space left behind the floppy and hard disk. I think a p4 would work great in this case. big cases have more devices. here you can just have one 5 1/4 and 2 3 1/2. You won't have more then one hdd and cdrom. It should be just fine. BTW I bought mine from PC Club for $49. this is sweet at $39.

I also bought this at $49. I built a Duron 800mhz ecs K7SEM / 2.0 hdd / 128PC133 / 50x aopen cdrom / 56k modem. 2gb hdd? - This was the best I can do for a budget of $0 for my cousin🙂 I also gave her 14" MGC1441 monitor, HP540 printer & juster speakers running on Windows Me.

<< a question..
can I fit full hieght pci cards in this case?
>>

Yes! One of the reason's why it's so great! Good luck with your lan rig!

LOL. 180 might be fine if you plan on only running the motherboard and chip with a video card, a sound card, and a floppy drive. Anything else and the reliability goes to hell. LOL.

Have you ever made a micro atx rig before?

Great full hieght PCI too..

another question..
any pics of the inside?
I am wondering since Optimistic states only 3 inch hieght on the HSF.

It looks a lot like this case. Notice the CDROM postioned nearly over the CPU socket and when the CPU socket does end up under the CDROM, like I said, there's a 3 inch clearance from CPU socket to the bottom of the CDROM.

The case pictured here however only has a 2.5 inch clearance. This case is a Yeong Yang A-101 comes with 200 watt SFX PSU price at $58 at http://www.servercase.com/.

Don't worry this case is not that hard to work with, just a little tight. But when you get everything setup, it looks great! Hope this helps🙂

I bought this case from EMS Computing. They have a choice between Blue and Gray for $42.95 plus shipping. Mine was delivered in three days despite what people say about EMS Computing.

Much better deal! Get it here instead. Looks like shipping is $10 flat. But worth if you can avoid the idiots for sales reps they have at PC Club😉 (City of Industry, CA)

lol! I had to wait like 30 minutes when I went in to buy this case a month ago for $49:|. And I know for a fact their return policy is crap because of all the yelling going on when someone was trying to return something. I'm only there because sometimes PC club has decent deals occasionaly -but it's a rarity.

Check here weekly if you want to see what they have on sale this week. The date is in the URL, change the date to get the most current deals. It's linked to latest sales now.
