beautiful setup.

Thanks.

The 7950GX2 is holding up quite well 🙂

I'm just waiting to hit the buy button on the G80 😉
*waiting patiently*

Its very easy actually.
Why would it be difficult? This is the best upgrade I have done so far on my PC.

I would recommend buying a big monitor to anyone who has the space and can afford it.

I could never go back to anything else after having this!

The pain before was sitting ontop of my 20.1" screen so I could read and see everything.

Now I sit back in my chair, relax and enjoy 🙂
You should try it 😉

Congrats, looks sexy.

I'm going to wait until some more 30" LCD's hit before I go beyond my NEC 20WMGX2. 1920x1080 just doesn't seem like enough resolution for 37". Although, it is intended to be a T.V. not a computer monitor so I guess that is pretty damn good considering half of the supposed HDTV's I see can't even do 1080p.

Do your games look stretched with that kind of screen area? Maybe I've just been under the misconception that HDTV's don't make very good computer monitors, but like I said, looks sexy nonetheless.

No streching.
All widescreen games I played so far support 1920x1080 (Oblivion,Company of Heroes,Ect)

And If the game is non-widescreen, It does not strech the image. It centers it on the screen at the apropriate resolution.
But why do that? lol widescreengamingforum helps out there.

I thought 1920x1080 was not going to be enough at 37" boy was I wrong!

You really need to see it to believe it.

Remember Josh....This is not a TV (has no tv tuner built in) This is soely a monitor.

I wasn't meaning whether or not games supported that resolution but that the resolution of 1920x1080 was stretched to fill the 37" of surface area. I've got a monitor that will do 2048x1536 in an area of about 20". What I meant was, does the 19x10 resolution seem crisp enough considering the pixels have to accomidate for almost twice the surface area?

Oh really? I thought that it was basically an HDTV. I honestly haven't researched the Westinghouse monitors very much. Sorry, my mistake.

I think so.
Obviously using anything else but a DVI connection for a PC would not be recommended.
I do believe text and stuff is not as crisp on a VGA connection.

Everything looks just as crisp and sharp as it did on my dell 20.1 at 1600x1200

Its great actually!

And I was just "informing" you of this not being a TV and only a monitor.(hope you didn't take it the wrong way) 🙂

I know exactly what you mean. That CRT I've got sits right next to my NEC 20WMGX2 and I'll go for the more crisp picture over slightly better color/contrast ratios everytime. Just today in Quake 4 I constantly switched between them to compare and where the Trinitron's VGA gave some of the graphics a muddy surface, my NEC was crisp and sharp.

Not at all. I know how to read and distinguish infromative sentences from insulting ones.

If its the only thing i'm doing I will go full screen.

When I'm doing 10 things at once believe me I take advantage of the screen real estate 🙂

You could strain your wrist mousing from one side to the other 😉

Nice screen. The desk seems to be a wee bit rinky-dink though.. How about you go out and buy some CEO-class desk that compliments this monster screen? 😀
