This might be a better approach - between HL2 and WoW, the forum is drowning under game topics. I guess the 'new' programming forum would have to share with general software troubleshooting, though.

Always happens when a new big game comes out. Doom 3 had a lot. I remember when Max Payne first came out, 80% of threads in software had Max Payne or MP in them.

There's a forum for the game threads. PM the mods and ask them to move them.

I definitely agree that a programming/applications forum and a separate games forum are appropriate.

This is how it was for Doom3 as well. Give it a week or so and it will die down again.
