I take it dump the pump is some protest against feul costs in England.

Did you know there is a petrol station in London selling 4-star for more than £1.00 (that is $1.50 US), amazingly bad. If the Americans dont take this sh!t, why should we?!?!

Nice to see someone else having a hard time with gas prices... As far as I've found out England is the only country in Europe with close to the same price for gas as we do in Norway :( The only reason you guys are that close is because of the pound/NKR ratio tho'

No, the reason the price is so high is because the government are milking the British people for all they have.If you spend £10 on petrol; £8 goes to the government, £2 pound goes to the petrol company.

The worst thing is that the government purposefully increased the price of diesel to match. At the moment the new generation of fuels like LPG, etc., are cheaper but as soon as they become very widespread they will go to the same price levels.

Oh yeah! So you think you are the only ones huh? :D

Doh you've just gotten prices this high we've had the government take 70-80% of everything we spend on fuel for more than 5 years so don't come here to me and complain... Actually we've had increased taxes on fuel every year since 1990! There are three big "cows" that gets milked every year here they are: fuel, alcohol and tobacco ... this is kinda sad for guys like me since I drive a car I like to take a drink once in a while and I smoke so there you are while you've got to complain that the government takes *SO* much money from you just think about me after they've taken 45% in income tax and then every time I got to fill up the car buy a beer or buy some sigarettes they take from 60-90% of that as well don't worry tho' this is nothing compared to world hunger and my need to assimilate more for the TEAM!!

WOOOOOMOOOOOO :D

Yeah it's a protest against fuel prices ,it's been mentioned in the news alot. There's a website about it ,if you do a search for 'dump the pump' you should find it (sorry I don't know the url yet).
The idea is that starting from the 1st August that every Monday noone buys fuel.
