I haven't heard a word about how Romney and Ryan have no foreign policy experience. None.

Obama had Biden who was a long time member and former Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations committee. Ryan has none.

I seem to remember Reagan making a big thing about Mondale and Ferraro's lack of experience in the field.

What foreign policy does Obama have?

Hilary Clinton is such a good leader.

It is call the grovel policy. It is where the President scrapes and bows to everyone but our allies. To our allies, he acts high and mighty, and complains about them often.

I agree with you. You would think that with Romney's obvious foreign policy weakness he would have wanted a VP with such experience.

But maybe what it really says is the American's do not care about foreign policy in this election and that he thought it made more sense to double down on someone who will help fix the economy/budget deficit. And that if Obama pointed out his foreign policy weakness he could claim Obama was just trying to distract people from his "failed economic policies".

Or maybe he thought picking a VP with foreign policy experience would highlight his own inexperince?

For what its worth, Romney recently embarked on a goodwill tour to England and Israel designed to enhance his foreign policy credentials. In England Romney managed to insult and alienate the British and in Israel Romney fell all over himself giving Israel blanks checks he can't yet honor. But while was making those promises he ran counter to some 50 years of US State Department Israeli policy.

My fear is that Romney will get the USA back into the quaqmire business even faster than GWB.

They don't really need foreign policy expertise themselves. They'll just hire someone like Dick Cheney as a consultant.

Remember folks, that you don't have to reply to these threads. Leave them sit on the front page with zero replies until they fall off. I've said this before but I will clarify this time. November is a long ways off. This is only going to get worse and worse. Let the threads languish. Do this now or pay later.

Yet you were the first to reply, albeit with an off-topic attempt to derail the thread. That is against forum rules, you know. I can't imagine why Cybrsage didn't call you out for that. He is (selectively) so obsessive about it.

A lack of foreign policy experience is only an issue when it's the other guy that's lacking. When it's your guy, it's immaterial because there are so many other strengths to focus upon. (Yes, this applies on both sides of the aisle.)

I especially liked the stop on the tour where he had the SEALs convey his regrets to Mr. bin Laden...
Hush. They don't include that one on their list of talking points. It dulls their outrage that Obama actually behaved like a mature adult with other heads of state.
