I am a bit wary of it, but still, those prices are for real, since they are in fact sold that cheaply in those countries.
I also remembered that I'm going to India this winter, and I could probably pick up a few games while I'm there, and I don't mean pirated ones. They now sell new legitimate boxed PC games for quite cheap there, although this is a relatively new occurrence.
Three years ago there was no such thing, but when you have to compete with prices of 40 rupees (about $1) you'll learn to compete.
Not quite, I'm in India and new A-list games still cost $40 on average upon release. You have to wait an year before they go down below $20. $10 games are usually 18-24+ months old games. I think that's almost on par with what PC games go for in the US.
So, does the US pay more for its PC games, like we do prescription drugs?
But hey! You can't do that! Only businesses can do that by shipping your job off to a cheaper location. You still need to pay the higher prices here though because fuck you and we're assholes. They throw up region encoding and other arbitrary horseshit in the way.
