Foreign language character display question

Hi, I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 and Firefox 2.0, anytime I go to a web page that displays foreign language characters all I see is ??? in place of the foreign language characters.

How can I make display the characters instead of ???'s ?

Thanks for the help.

One way to get the fonts for a certain language is to open a site with IE and use its "on demand" downloader (when it asks to download the language pack). You might need to go to View You should only need to do it once. It'll ask you for your XP CD and it installs the unicode infrastructure along with all the different languages.

Another even easier way: open IE to any site, click View->Encoding->More->Japanese and it should install everything. Then restart Firefox and it should recognize the new fonts (probably).
