That's a crying shame, it was painfully obvious after the doing away with the Focus and the cancellation of the Lightning that SVT was on it's way out. I've admired SVT and the work they've done for years - a huge fan of the Cobra, especially the 03+, and I was a huge fan of the Lightning - countless years spent on F150online.com doing research and getting ready to buy one, etc.

Hmm, I find it strange that the thought of this event possibly not taking place caused you to be incensed to that point, wow, sorry, I had no idea that my thinking this is an April fools joke would upset you to that extent, my apologies.

I can see the date of the article, and the supposed effective date mentioned 04/01 which raised a big red flag, why make such an announcement on THAT day?

At the risk of incurring additional wrath from you, I will choose to continue believing that this is a poor attempt at an April fools joke, at least until that day comes and goes proving otherwise :lips:

i think all of the damn foci in USA are still based on the old old old old old platform. so no focus convertible either.

Is there any wonder why the Japanese (and soon Koreans) are eating Detroit's lunch? Only Ford would give up potential sales of tens of thousands of vehicles (SVT) to sell a couple of hundred (Ford GT).

Seems like Ford should have plenty of stuff in the collective FoMoCo parts bin to continue SVT. Is it really that hard to tune-up and then slot one of Volvo's turbo engines into a car, tweak the suspension, dial it in, smack a couple of grand premium on it, and then sell them?

How about a Lightning with a supercharged Jag engine . . . or LandRover . . . granted its probably the same mill?
