ford

It's not really telemarketing unless they're soliciting you for something, your dad is late on a car payment... would you rather have someone call you, or have someone come and repossess your car right away?

Actually.. the problem is he doesn't actually own it.

maybe you could have been nice?

She could screw your dad over or she could be nice and understand why the payment is late..

Its not my problem, my car is payed off. This is my moms car under my dads name. My parents lease and have been through ford for at least 9 years. Money can be tight but they are usualy pretty good about paying it on time. I just hate it when they know hes at work 6 days a week usualy, working 11-8 and they call the house and ask for his work number when they already have it. They will call from 8:01 am till 9 pm. If these people thought we were so bad with payments, why would they give us 4 different ford cars all these years? I highly doubt any repossesing is going to happen.

I highly doubt the phone-call-maker is the person who gets the repoman to go to houses.

I was nice, I don't need her number, I have it. I told her that I didnt need it and she made a stupid comment about kept saying the same crap over and over again. At that point I said I had to go and she then YELLED into the phone that I was rude. The final comment wasnt necessary but why should I have to take attitude.

That wasn't a telemarketer. Tell your dad to make his payments on time. And yes, companies don't like people who cop an attitude when the collection agent calls them about being late on payments. Their research shows that such people are far more likely to default and then be hostile to repossession. You just did your dad a disservice, not that he does himself any by not keeping his signed word.

Too bad you edited this thread in true Internet crybaby fashion when everyone else doesn't agree with you... I guess some things run in the family.

i read the origanl post, and you owned urself

i pretty mcuh agreed with you until i read the line that ford calls 87X/day if you are late on your payments.

There is no crying, I just don't see a point in arguing with strangers when you can't win.
