Ford "X Plan"

My inventory manager came in the other day talking about the great deal he got on his new Ford truck through the "X Plan". Apparently partners of Ford Motors get special "no-hassle" pricing on most Ford vehicles.

I just googled the whole thing and there is in fact such a thing. Is there anyone on the board who has hands on expereince with this? I'm looking to pick up a new car in the near future and at the moment I am deciding between a Civic and a Focus.

some guy on here was looking at a mustang under the x plan awhile back, do a search for x plan and mustang and it'll probably show up.

if its anything like GMS which is GM's incentive for family members of GM employees, and past employees then you get vehicle at about invoice, or around 15% off sticker.

Wow, now that I think about it, I could also look at the Mazda 6. I've been hankering over one of those for quite a while...

I Shopped a few cars with the "X" plan (and the GM equivelent).

You basically go to the web site, enter your employee number / ID, and generate a PIN.

You shop wherever, go to the dealer, tell him you're an X Plan participant, he verifies the PIN and other info and you get the car. The X Plan price is just the starting point: all other dealer incentives still apply (cash back or low percentage loan, if you qualify for it).

The web site will tell you where to look to see the X Plan price on the sticker.

I was looking at a ~40K Explorer, the X Plan price was ~36K, then thre was 2K cash back, and another deal ... would have cost a bit over 33K (plus tax, title, etc).

It also applies to ALL ford products (Mazda, Jag, etc ... each have a variant of the X-Plan).

ScottMac is right on. Plan works for all Ford companies: Mazda (called s-plan), Jaguar, etc.

Since I just left a Ford dealership I may be of some assistance. Basically, x-plan lets you purchase a vehicle at invoice cost. On top of that then, you still get any and all rebates that you qualify for that may be attached to a vehicle.

On another note. If your looking at the focus, go with the most expensive one because it gets you the 2.3 liter engine which I must say, is quite fast. I bought a 2004 ZX3 and it has the 2.3. Its a lot more engine than the 2.0 as far as pick up and speed go. Its faster stock than my neon was after I modified it.

Unfortunately, 2004 focus' are all but gone and you can only get the 2.3 on the top of the line model for 2005.
