the front end and grille is a bit ugly, but the stance is pretty nice.. if the front end was changed it would look better.
the lights look like the new down syndrome cavalier.. blah.

also, the back is ugly too... heh

The car looks sad and upset. I'm not liking the flat beltline. They really need to add some curves or something.

Other than that looks good. I wonder how much of this will go into the production vehicle?

The taillights look a bit fat almost. I can imagine someone making horrid altezzas for that thing, much like the 98-02 altezzas for the Accord. Thats a bit too much damn red on the interior - I'd go blind in that thing. And the headlights are a bit odd, but all in all this is one bad-@$$ looking car. And is the car now a 2 door? It makes it a "sports car" now but that is a pretty stupid move considering their target market (at least for the V6 group) is women and young teens, who need to have friends riding along in it.

I'm still not quite sure what my opinion is, but thank goodness you reminded me about this year's NAIAS...my dad hasn't been to work recently, so he still hasn't gotten the complimentary tickets (EDS)...and I just found out that one of my friends will be doing some modeling job (presentation girl or something, I'd imagine) this Sunday at the opening for the press.

Maybe she can get me in. 😀

I like it, but my god the tail lights have GOT to go. I Hope that is just a possible design, I notice there is no reverse light. it breaks up the sleakness of the rest of the car. I notice there are no backup lights..

All Mustangs have always been 2 door, for over 35 years. Did you mean to ask if it's now a 2 seater?

I thought they just changed to the current bodystyle a year or two ago?

Just a reskin and slight engine upgrade. This is a brand new platform and brand new both inside and out (might be keeping the same engines, don't know yet)

Well, the platform is not exactly "brand new." It's using a modified version of the 3 year old DEW98 platform that underpins the Lincoln LS/Thunderbird/Jaguar S-Type.

I bet it won't have more horsepower than the 350z (287).

The 4.6 DOHC already does and the 4.6 SOHC will have 300 HP for the new generation.

How close are the show cars to what will actually hit the street in 2004? Close, but those who?ve seen the final designs say they?re actually more impressed with the production vehicles. The taillights, for one thing, will be more true to the original design.

Me likey 😀.

Ahh you're right. I was looking at the GT on Edmunds, not the Mach 2

Jesus, do you ALWAYS have to correct me NFS4? (It might help if I wasn't wrong all the time) 😉

It's Mach1. The Mach1 uses pretty much the same DOHC 4.6 engine as the 99+ Cobras. (In the years they did make them)

at least the american car companies are starting to make good sports cars again. when you think about it theres the vette, viper......um i think thats it. Im talking still in production, not used to be.
