Ford to license Toyota hybrid tech

Good for you. I bike to work, and mostly take the car on highway trips. Cost of a hybrid is not justified for me. If you are right and there is sufficient market to support multiple independent hybrid systems, manufacturers will develop their own instead of licensing.

I used to bike to work every Friday. I would take the train part of the way and bike the last 9 miles in to work. It would take me 1.5 hours door to door (one way) on Fridays if took the bike/train. It took me the same amount of time if I drove (BTW-this was 33 miles one way-almost all freeway and almost all of it bumper to bumper stop and go driving). I was car pooling with some co-workers the other 3 days of the week and driving in on Mondays. I put almost 25,000 miles on my Toyota Tundra the first year I owned it working there-tell me that didn't kill me in mileage. Man, a Prius would have been the ultimate commuter car for me then.

Thankfully, I work much closer to home now. I'm about 12 miles from work now, almost no freeway. I could bike to work here and may do so a couple times a month after the time change.😀

haha. dodge is now the only Big3 company that hasn't had to run to toyota with its tail between its legs to get a decent car.

Oh wait...Dodge doesn't have a decent car. Never mind. 😱

i never said they did. 😀 they'd do well to follow ford and GM's lead.

If there is a full-size hybrid truck that can pull and get close to 30MPG, I'll buy it.

I keep hoping for this also.

C'mon Toyota, build a full sized Tundra!!!

fixed 😛
