For MOST of my driving, AWD will be fine. About the only time I use 4H in my truck is driving on the beach. Helps to keep my from getting stuck should I wander into a soft spot…In wet or snowy conditions, 4A (auto 4wd) works great.

Well now…I might have to actually consider one of these. I rarely need 4wd, but when I need it…I need it. I know AWD isn’t the same as 4wd, but it brings similar benefits.

This is my current default recommendation car: (used to be a Civic or Kia Soul)

1. 40mpg hybrid
2. AWD with a functional consumer bed
3. All of the modern conveniences

Plus, camping options!

I meant in regards to 4x4, when you need it you need it, like yea no shit sherlock.
