Ford GT?

Ford GT TT

I don't think this is a repost but if it is I'm very sorry :/

I'm not the biggest fan of Ford, and that doesn't really matter when you watch this video. The power of this car is basically retarded. 1012HP, 900ft/lb torque?

Please enjoy this video, it has enlightened me.

Why do people hate Ford? I really like the Ranger, and the Fusion (drove one yesterday and if I were in the market for a car it'd be high on my list), and the Focus is understandably popular, as is the Mustang.

What's the deal with THAT?

I dont think ford is bad, I'm just not much of a ford fan thats all... but the GT TT is ridiculous.. i want it.

Fair enough. I've just been pondering this, and I don't feel it's worth starting a thread. 😀

Have you watched the video? I think its worthy man... its running stock engine and fuel system... twin turbos. The stock motor is built Ford Tough as they would say. I don't know, the video speaks for itself.

Yeah, I guess against 2 turbo'd busas.... but the weight to power ratio should profit more in the sake of the busas. That and they probably did a 70mph roll.

gotta give it to ford for making lambos and ferraris seem boring.
wonder how long the engine can take that kinda abuse...

Whats so amazing that they are running the stock motor and fuel system? The Ford GT is a damn RACE CAR, of course the stock motor and fuel system can handle a little boost.

A 'busa is a Suzuki Hayabusa, a beast among motorcycles

Well considering the stock horsepower is 530, torque is around 460. Now double these figures along with around 25psi from the turbos. I know its a race car, but what they are doing with the engine is still amazing. Ford did an amazing job with the engine. I know its a race car, but when its this heavily modded you would think that they would have to change something with the fuel system.

Yeah, forced induction has made plenty of boring cars even more fun. Of course an already fun car would benefit as well?

Also MAP > MAF. Any day.

Joe should be happy with what he has. Ordering a bigger motor is nice, but then you're taking the heart out of the Ford GT. It's more of an achievement to me to get 1000HP on the stock motor with twin turbos vs. getting 1300HP on a bigger motor with twin turbos.

Turbo Busas have an incredible power/weight ratio. Not many things can take them down on the street.

Haha I like when he races the 1000cc bike at the end and wins 😀 They had one of those at the local dealship a few months ago...man it was a hot car...

Youre a complete moron... do you have any idea the fuel system needed to support the amount of boost this car is running now?

obviously you have never built a twin turbo OR extremely large supercharged application..

on other cars in its class the entire system needs to be upgraded.. pumps.. regulators injectors.. and usually on fords the entire computer..

its amazing the engineering Ford put in the GT stock.

this car is flat out sick..

Ive worked on a 900 hp 5.0 stang with a granatelli custom built blower with 32 PSI and it was a 8 second car... and required alot of work but this is just insane..

Quality, perception, fanboyism.

He may be a moron, but I don't see him saying things like, 'twin turbo extremely large supercharged'. 😛

Hey guy, we aren't talking about your '89 5.0 with 120hp from the factory. The Ford GT is a straight up race car from the factory, plain and simple. Of course the motor is going to be able to withstand high boost, and of course the fuel system is up to par, I'm sure Ford over engineered it that way.

I never said anything about it not being an awesome car, cause it is. I'm just not getting my rocks off because they were able to use the same motor and fuel system that a race car uses.

You're right, I've never built a twin turbo extremely large supercharged application... grats on that there guy.
