I fly to NYC tomorrow morning and I'll be working the Ford display at the NY auto show - I'm guessing I'll be asked "when is Ford bringing the RS over" about twice a day. :p

You'll be there everyday? Maybe I'll drop by and say hi. I plan to go on the last Sunday though.

If you're going to spend that much money, even if it costs $25k-30k, why not go with a real RWD or AWD sports car or sports sedan?

I'm liking the "Panther matt black" color scheme.

The new Focuses are world cars. They are nearly identical on both sides of the pond. Emissions, etc etc, are nearly the same.

This was not always true. Until the past two years, the Ford leadership had allowed regions to "do their own stuff" even when they shared platforms. Of course here they just did what they always do, crank out boring mediocre mass market moneymakers for middle America.

As we can all see, that is changing now.

Which is why he said new (referring to the upcoming focus). I agree with regard to the color...that is badass.

Nice car, but $$$. I'll be happy to see a more modest sport-tuned Focus in the ~$20k range to match up against GTI/Civic Si/etc.

Would be nice if you go the ST. It's the same 5 pot motor detuned. I've driven one and it's pretty fun with just 225hp...and of course because it's FI you can fuck with it for more ponies.
