Forcing Refresh Rate..

I have seen it once or twice, some way to for the refresh rate in 3D, can someone help me out? I tryed changing my monitor .inf's and Now my refresh rate in 3D games is low.. Somthing like 60, maybe 75... It could, and should be higher.

You can override DirectX refresh rates from DXdiag's control menu. Beware - it sets rate for all modes. Utility is located in X:\Program files\directx\setup where X: is the drive your Windows resides on.

OpenGL refresh rate settings depend on your video card drivers. If you have a Nvidia TNT/GeForce family card, manufacturer's drivers instead of reference Detonators will offer you the functionality. Or you can directly edit your registery if you feel up to the task, for me (Win98/GeForce) the registery location to be edited is

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\Display

From under there you can set the refresh rate seperately for each of the resolution/color depth combination (there are several entries).
