it appears the newer forceware drivers (specifically the releases that have turned to the newer control panel instead of the previous control panel that was tabbed and integrated into the Windows Display Properties), have a lot of options missions.
notably, is display calibration and screen positioning. Both are features I require. I need the calibration because there is a big difference in the IQ when running Vista since the newer drivers do not have the option to use the simple calibrating software (3 color sliders to force a change in color output).
however, a new thing I just discovered that I sorely miss, is the screen positioning tool. You know, where you can move the screen to the left or right, or up and down, to fit properly on the display. Well, I am trying to hook my 32" Sharp Aquos through DVI, just so I can play some games on that nice big screen, but the display is off (didn't have this problem with my XP DVR box, it was actually centered perfectly, just had slight overscan). If I can move it to the left some, I can then use the screen re-sizing tool in the forceware drivers to make it fit perfectly on screen. Sadly, till then I really can't play on that display since so much of the screen will be missing.
