Forceware and BF2 problem?

Ever since I installed my 7800GT, BF2 will not run at all.

Double-click starts the program, I get the splash screen, screen goes black and then back to desktop.

The exact same thing happens with 81.95 and 81.98 forceware.

Is this a known problem?

What forcwares are you guys using to play BF2??

81.94 here...I had that same problem when I tried to manually patch to version 1.12 and was unsuccessful. When I finally did it, it worked again.

82.12 betas gave me 100+ 3dmarks, but BF2 still no go. It takes a little longer to boot me back to the desktop, but same result.

delete or move your Battlefield2 folder in your MyDocuments. Then start the game, it will make a new Battlefield2 folder there with default settings.

you might need to add certain resolutions in ur driver menu screen, such as 1280x960 (if you use lcd like me and it defaults to 1280x1024).
