:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Downloading now.

Edit: Also would be cool to see some numbers for the dual-core performance enhancements (I don't have one, but my next CPU will probably be a dual-core) :)

i will say that most applications / games improved ~5-10% from forceware 78 to 81.84 from my testing on a dual core.

That driver is awesome.

For Flat Panel Display (and maybe other) users, it gives DIRECT adjustments. It adjusts the brightness/contrast/size control on your monitor remotely. Simply amazing. I just tried this and now I have an awesome gray scale on my LCD.

Yup...awesome. It does, at least on my Samsung SyncMaster 710T display. Samsung MagicTune software crashes on this PC.

NVIDIA Direct Access

Wow, thats an awesome feature. nVidia is impressing me with their drivers. Although they've been slow to fix some issues, they have fixed them and continue to add features.

What monitor do you have? Although Coolbits is installed in that screenshot, I did not have to install it to get the direct access options.

Dell 2005FPW

It probably only supports Samsung MagicTune and LG forteManager interfaces. Unfortunately the Dells don't have anything similar.

The direct access feature on my Dell P991 CRT doesn't work properly (81.84's), and instead resizes the monitor very badly, and I have to reset it using the manual controls on the monitor.

I guess you're right, since I haven't heard of any Dell utility to change that stuff in software. :( Oh well, it sounded cool anyway. :p

Anyways, I think I'm going to see if the newer HD deinterlacing support is any better..

I already have a control panel (Naviset) that came with my monitor to do that but I have to reinstall it every time I change the video card driver, which is a little annoying, so this might be useful if only for that reason.

Are all the bugs from the other 80 series drivers fixed?

I don't know what they mean by 'HD' MPEG-2. What does HD have to do with it? Interlaced transport streams (480i, 1080i)? Do they just mean better quality?

I only get that if I'm plugged into analog, for some reason. :(

I'm not sure exactly, but before when I played 1080i transport streams the motion didn't seem to be as smooth as when I watched it on my HDTV tuner (which has its own hardware decoder). In any case, now both 720p and 1080i seem a lot smoother, playback is perfect as far as I can tell. I'm not sure why 720p is any different, but I'm glad that it's improved in any case.
