These drivers are not making me very happy.

I had the official 61.77s till a few days ago, when i upgraded to the 66.70s since i noticed everyone was getting far higher 3DMark05 scores.

Then i got a BSOD.

I figured it was just OCed too much...so i dropped it back down to stock.

Last night was reformat time, so i did that & then installed the new 66.81s.

Every single time i exited UT2k4 i got a BSOD 🙁

So i reverted back to 61.77, & it has been fine thus far anyway.

I'll wait for the drivers to show up officially from now on i think...

I got a cool 11% increase in 3DMark05 1.10 after installing these gems.
I use a FX 5950 so that probably means they aren't just for the 6x00s.

Excellent. I'm getting a massive 7kb/Sec. 🙂

[edit]

Okay, just tried these. In 3DMark05 I noticed a few texture problems with the Cliffs however, it has boosted the numbers a little. There is a good 6.5/7.0% increase in FPS in Doom3 for me running at 1600 x 1200. I get about 65fps.

What is the switch to pre-cache the Doom3 levels prior to benchmarking, I can't remember for the life of me. :frown:

hehe im at uni an not many ppl got their computers on the network yet so im ripping all sorts of crap off the net at over 700kb/sec!!! hahah in fact in the time it took mozilla to load the download window, 66.81 was on my hardrive

Theyre not for the 6800 series only, but they are only WHQL with the 6800 series.

I ran the CS:S stress test at 1600x1200 4x/8x with a 6800gt and my fps went from 66fps with 61.77 to 77fps with this driver. I noticed the fps doesnt drop as low when it gets intense. I get tearing, but if i alt-tab out of the game and back in it goes away.

UT2k4 BSOD'ing on you is because of DEP and Windows XP SP2. If you have got both of them, make XP SP2 ignore UT2k4 in the DEP settings. Should be fine then.

If that's not the cause, then I don't know. 😛

I stick with the 61.82 whql driver that was on nvidias ftp. It does not cause the BSOD when I exit americas army like most of the betas did. Not worth disabling DEP for 1 game and 5 fps boost. =)

I never said disabling DEP altogether. DEP can still be active; you just make it ignore some programs you don't want it to operate on. 😛 It's ok anyway. I'm going to try the 66.81 WHQL drivers when my new graphics card (the Leadtek one described in my signature) arrives. It's been 2 weeks now and still no graphics card. The store doesn't have it in stock, so yeah. Leadtek is slooooooow in delivering products. 😛 I don't mind it, though, especially because exams are coming up, so I can concentrate better. 😛 Exams still suck, by the way. 😀

These drivers are broken. I could not get the profile settings to stick - it was very frustrating.

Stick with the 61.77s until something official comes out.
