what's this forbidden word thing. below is an attempted post (i really like how the newlines weren't converted to
[i converted the highlighted word to bold for you]):

You have a forbidden word in your message post. Please click the back button in your browser and remove this word from your post. The words that are forbidden are highlighted for you.

Radeon Questions, Please help
i'll take a stab at a couple questions: another OEM maker is FIC. just ordered my FIC A97 (9700 non-pro) it seems that most of the manufacturers are pretty good. i'm sure if there was a big quality issue, it would be quite apparent. do a search in the video forum and you probably won't come up with muany quality problems (at least for ATI product *cough*) re: 9500->9700 i dunno, search the video forum i believe the only difference 9700 pro/non-pro is core/memory speeds. can someone confirm this? ram: the faster timing the better. 2.8 is better/more overcloackble than 3.3 fan: it comes with a HSF unit 🙂

ya thats not exactly new, st*b was banned bacause many many many people in off topic were spamming with it.

People in OT were using the term "St@b her" a lot, so they banned the word

Kinda annoying when you want to say "take a st@b in the dark", or "i'll take a st@b at this" etc

Confused

exactly 🙂

You can thank the ATOT neffers for that one. It's really kind of disgusting when you're trying to post something legit, as you've found out. 🙁

Having read this thread and missed out on the stahb stuff (still no clue what happened), what about a "banning" similar to the automatic timeout that moderators have?

That way, you've got your hardcoded blacklist of words that are out of the question, but you've got added functionality of "mini-bans" for words. All the OT nefs are using "Snickerdoodle!!!!!"? Put the word itself on a timeout. That way the bulk of the hubbub dies down in a week or so. Then if anyone happens to legimately want to say "Snickerdoodle!!!!!" (and who wouldn't?), they wouldn't be thrown for a loop.
