Interesting idea. Copper sheeting can be expensive though, unless you get lucky at a scrapyard. It would have to be coated with something protective, because things like fingerprints will really stand out.

That said, I do really love the color of copper; might be cool to have a case that color.😉
 
Someone did make a coppper case, forget how... but it ended up green and that was his goal for some reason, to make it look... whatever that would look like 😉 hehe
 
btw ifyou just wanted to cover the outside with copper sheet stuff, www.onlinemetals.com has a 12x48 inch sheet of copper for $25

Probably could od a case for <$75 if you didn't waste that much, dunno bout overlaps tho, that'd look bad.
