Nope, I prefer Vista.
The thing that immediately pissed-off users was, they were too dumb or knot-headed to navigate Vista. That was a major failing of Vista, IMHO, having to click through multiple panels to perform simple tasks that took 2 clicks with W2K/XP. I've been using Vista for 2 1/2 years, and I still have to hunt around for stuff! Quick... How do you get to the Windows Experience Index screen?!?!? Gotta think about it, don't you?Originally posted by: Mem
Vista... has matured and got better overtime, unlike XP to Vista which was a major OS redesign from XP...

Sometimes I feel like a 'My Brute' character, repeatedly stabbing the keyboard to get Vista to do something!
I dunno, maybe 'seasoned' users will have an easier time of finding things in 7, but I doubt it.
And, another thing...
When you think about it - Windows doesn't come with sh!t - and 7 will have even less included programs and features, because MS is pushing cloud computing. Sooo, you'll be stuck with all the ancient programs that you've used (and depended on) for years. I'm still using Office 2000.
The only real-world difference is the GUI interface! And, that ain't enough for me!

Probably, I'm very interested by the XP mode in Windows 7, but I would need other reasons. I will think about it, but I'm not in a hurry, I didn't bother trying Windows 7 RC1, even though I did download it, it's on a DVD I keep just in case I want to try it. If I do buy Windows 7 it won't be until it receives at least one service pack though, I did the same for Vista, I waited until SP1 was released (actually I bought Vista only four months ago).
