They're moving to Kansas or something like that in few years, in case you're planning to visit again. Might want to call ahead.

In the late 80's or early 90's, a used car dealer in Stockton, CA had a small US tank for sale. Don't remember which one for sure...pretty small by comparison. Maybe an early Sherman. Of course, the gun was totally non-op, but I always thought it'd be fun to drive on the freeway. Use the turret as a turn signal...it's the kind of turn signal even Ray Charles couldn't miss...:D

I have started buying books on the German armor of WWII. Some amazing tanks, with the King Tiger, Elefant, SturmTiger and the Jagdtiger being my faves. Read a great book by Otto Carius detailing the 501st Heavy Armored divisions battles.
